THE EXPERIENCE:
The Awaken Experience, facilitated & Guided by Awaken Founder, Meditation Teacher & DJ/Producer Corey Sheikh, is a full flow of Breathwork, Ecstatic Dance & Sound Journey event. It is designed to bring one through a process of breath, movement, meditation and frequency – opening the flows of inner peace, balance. vitality & Joy.
In this session joined by Improv Vocalist Lucie Martel
The 3 Sections of this experience will flow one after each other, including:
Breathwork Meditation: This style of breathwork meditation is a gentle process that moves into the subtle layers of the body & mind, bringing calm, peace and ability to investigate sensations of thought & Emotion.
Ecstatic Dance: On the other side of the spectrum, an invigorating and wild ecstatic dance to a full wave of music including Organic, Afro & Progressive house along with Melodic Techno, Tribal and Cosmic Ambient.
Sound Journey Integration: A come down, back into the body and into quiet as soundscape frequencies & ambient music is used to guide one back to a place of stillness, ending where it began.
Welcoming Social environment & Connection: An inclusive, sober social environment to connect, plan and explore this experience among like minded individuals.

Facilitator: Corey Sheikh – Ecstatic Dance DJ, Producer, Spiritual Mentor & Meditation Teacher
Corey Sheikh has been weaving music through the facilitation of ecstatic dances, breath circles, sound journeys and meditation sessions since 2012. His musical & meditative journeys pull on sounds that blend the worlds of Organic, Shamanic Tribal Fusion, Ethnic, Progressive & Melodic Techno/House along with Meditative space ambient and cosmic synths. One of his newest endeavors in Music Production is the blending of shamanic, Gregorian, and ethereal vocals with the beat of the earthly drum, cosmic synths and organic beats. Both in the music he produces & the meditations he guides hold the intention of eliciting inner peace, activating latent joyful energy and coming into grounded embodied presence. Sheikh offers his main "AWAKEN Experience" at festivals, retreats and local events, which is a weave of sound, movement, breath, dance & meditative exploration.
