DISRUPTIA - a dance concert

DISRUPTIA is a new, avant-garde dance show presented by local Ashland, Oregon company Tandem Contemporary Dance Collective. A one night only special, the performance is set to premiere January 25 2025 at the Southern Oregon University Music Recital Hall. This bold and theatrical concert is the company’s third original evening-length work. 

DISRUPTIA is a study on non-conformity. The choreography showcases resilience and individuality within the matrix of society. Inspired by personal experiences from artistic director Catherine Raupp and her dancers, as well as influenced by the unapologetic raw emotion of the artist Pina Bausch, DISRUPTIA explores listening to one’s intuition amidst the chaos of the modern world.

​The doors will open at 5:30pm with a 30 minute live music set. The dancing will begin promptly at 6pm with a run time of 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a brief intermission. Homemade chai tea and golden milk will be available for purchase.
