Love Letters to Humanity
Love Letters to Humanity is a performance by Katie Wells followed by an ecstatic dance with DJ Dharmadrum! This one-woman show weaves dance improvisation, stand-up comedy, collective audience interaction, and theatre to reveal both the struggle and humor in the search for inner peace. From movement poetry to wild play, this piece holds satire with compassion in a sincere depiction of the human condition.

To me, dance can expand beyond glitzy entertainment, sex appeal, or technical virtuosity, moving us into realms that transform ourselves and our communities. In this lifetime I play the roles of dance artist, retreat director, part-time professor, mind~body~spirit coach, and founder of Interweave Conscious Movement®, creating embodied experiences that open us to greater love.

With a bachelors from Columbia College Chicago and a masters from the University of Colorado at Boulder, I am trained in many styles of dance and theater. My dance improvisations have been performed with bands such as the Desert Dwellers, Holy River, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, and several symphony orchestras. I have also danced in works by renowned choreographers Joe Goode, David Dorfman and Kathleen Hermesdorf. Although my workshops and performances have been presented in Mexico and across much of Europe and the USA, this is my first tour in Florida!
