Rediscover the Original Christ Teachings ~ Stroud
Many in our world today have lost touch with the real and vital spiritual dimension to life. So often, our spirituality gets covered over by religious doctrine and belief without accessing the heart and soul of a genuine connection. Increasingly, younger generations are giving up on finding a spiritual answer to the issues they confront, and the complex and often urgent issues that we all face become ever more difficult to resolve.
Sometimes, you have to access the true origin of your culture to move forward creatively into your future. Never has that been more true than now. Jesus of Nazareth brought a profound encounter with a mystical reality that is within all people. But somehow the opportunity to share in that encounter has become obscured in our culture over centuries. That is why we are devoting this seminar to discovering what has become hidden—the original message brought by Jesus.
CANA (Christians Awakening to New Awareness) is hosting three authors who all have written books which address this subject.
Revd. Don MacGregor, author of Blue Sky God and The Wisdom Series, which includes a volume on The Christ and Jesus: The Difference.
David Karchere, visiting from the USA , author of Primal Christianity: Uncovering the Original Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, to be published in September 2024.
Janice Dolley, author of Awakening to a New Reality: Conscious Conversations Across the Horizon of Death and co-author of Voices of Contemporary Christians: Towards the Universal.
Jane Upchurch, author of The Bones of Love: The Way of Jesus.
We will explore together how, in light of today’s world culture and our spiritual and scientific insights, the original teachings of Jesus the Christ are profoundly relevant for us at this time of rapid change.
The day will include talks, meditations, music, group dialogue, and poetry. Together, we will contribute to the emergence of a new story for this current era that is in tune with the energies awakening humankind today.
