About Phakyab Rinpoche. Born in 1966 in Tibet, ordained as a monk at the age of 13. In 1994 he was recognized by the XIV Dalai Lama as the eight rebirth of Phakyab Rinpoche. When faced with severe health problems that required the amputation of one of his legs, he consulted with the Dalai Lama, who encouraged him to rely on spiritual practices and faith to heal himself. “You will teach the world how to heal,” HH told him. From this experience, Rinpoche wrote his book: Meditation Saved My Life. Currently living in New York City and teaching worldwide, he is the Spiritual Leader for The Healing Buddha Foundation. As a member of the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Budhism, Rinpoche teaches spiritual healing throughout the United States, France, and the world.
