Many of us continue to cling to old regrets, disappointments or notions of what could have been. What we don’t realize, however, is that we’re letting something that’s long gone consume our present. “How long do we hold on to this old idea,” Cheryl says. “I was going to do this job, or I was going to go to this school, or I was going to be married to this person. And it doesn’t serve us anymore.”
