Since 2001 Human’s infectious anthems have touched on themes such as world peace, hemp and cannabis legalization, the dangers of genetic modified organisms, renewable energy, regenerative farming, coping with death and just generally being a nice and responsible human being. He has been honored by multiple awards and had a life-long dream come true when he and his band opened for Willie Nelson’s Labor Day show in Northern California in 2009. Matthew’s band, known as The Human Revolution, toured the US extensively in the 2000’s and became one of the best loved country-rock dance bands in the US West Coast festival scene. In 2008 Human joined an eco village in Costa Rica where he spends his winters “walking his talk” by practicing homesteading and Earth stewardship and regenerative farming skills (he’s a certified permaculture designer), learning a new language and culture, and further spreading his music to a wider audience. In 2012 following the death of his father, Matthew moved his US base from Oregon to Nashville, Tennessee, where he honed his skills as a songwriter and learned the ins and outs of the rapidly-changing music industry. It was in Nashville where he met multi-platinum producer Norbert Putnam, the Muscle Shoals legend and former “Nashville Cat” who is partially responsible for the success of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. After a few years of courting the legendary producer, Human finally convinced Norbert to help him bring his timely, yet somehow timeless, message-driven songs to the world at large. The collaboration is expected to be released in 2020. For more information or the latest tour dates visit • • • Watch & Listen on • Listen on Soundcloud: • Listen on Spotify: • Join Matthew Human on
